Assisting with an array of ongoing marketing activities, including website updates, digital newsletters, social media content and strategy, and client engagement activities.Collaborating and coordinating with Viridian’s Senior Leadership Team to produce marketing materials and creative content.Conducting marketing research projects.Assisting with the creation and roll out of company brand guidelines.
On-site Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Implementation
Updating SEO on all website pages to ensure proper indexing in Google to maximize the ability for pages on the website to rank in search engine results.Utilizing the baseline keyword demand search completed as part of the CDAP engagement to complete keyword selection.Creating and implementing metadata for all website pages.
Local Search Engine Optimization
Ensuring location information is accurate.Ensuring text usage on our Google My Business (GMB) page is accurate and keyword rich.Ensuring online citations of the business are positive.Adding the business listing to local directories for consistency.
Inbound Link Building Strategy + Implementation
Creating a strategy to build inbound links from quality sources and facilitating the creation of those links on other websites.
Evaluating inbound links that are commonly found pointing to our competitor’s websites.Assisting in creating a content strategy to ensure that Viridian has linkable material to circulate.Contacting link building partners to syndicate the content linking back to the Viridian website.
Qualifications and Preferred Skillset:The Digital Marketing Specialist must be a highly organized, detail oriented, and adaptable team player that can work well with minimal supervision. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written are essential. Other qualifications include:Experience with SEO, inbound marketing, and content management;Excellent written and verbal communication, with excellent copywriting abilities;A passion for brand management and creative marketing strategies;Experience with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel;Experience with Google Analytics;Strong organizational, administrative, and problem-solving skills;Ability to work within a team and independently;A strong understanding of web metrics and digital analytics required;Google Ads Certification for search and display ads an asset;Knowledge of WordPress, and Hotjar is an asset;Knowledge of graphic design software is an asset;Knowledge of additional marketing tools and platforms will be considered.
