Job Summary
Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is looking for an enthusiastic, well-qualified individual to fill the level three Technical Writer/Business Process Manager position and to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.
As the Business Technical Writer, you have a crucial role and will assist the government with writing and creating content that will help explain complex information. You will assist the Government Lead with writing, maintaining, and configuration control of contractual and programmatic documentation, as well as managing tasks for a small program team. Additionally, you will support development of first-of-kind operational space or space related missions for the Space Rapid Capabilities Office (RCO). A successful candidate should be a leader and problem solver with a proven ability to deliver superior results as part of a high performing team in a high-profile, fast-paced environment.
Skills / Experience RequiredMinimum ten (10) years DoD/IC, or relevant industry work experienceExpert Experience with Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project)Experience with Atlassian tools (e.g., Confluence, Jira)Experience managing workflows, communications, and other business processesExperience in DoD program management supportCraft clear, concise, and compelling technical documentation to elucidate complex concepts for diverse audiences, including government stakeholders and industry partnersMaintain meticulous version control and ensure accuracy and consistency across all contractual and programmatic documentationCollaborate closely with subject matter experts to gather information, verify technical details, and ensure alignment with project objectives and requirementsContribute to the development and refinement of processes and standards to enhance documentation quality and efficiencyDevelop, implement, and manage execution of program management office business processes and workflows, to include document coordination, tasks, and program team communicationsManage the analysis of daily, weekly, and monthly reporting of program performance data to define problems associated with project scope objectivesEstablish meetings, manage office resources, and facilitate communication with internal and external stakeholdersCommunicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy-oral and writtenEducation / CertificationsMaster's degree in business or business management from an accredited school (AACSB, ACBSP, or IACBE), or engineering from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited program OR 10 years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of educationBenefitsMedical, dental, vision, disability, and life insuranceFlexible Spending Accounts401(k)PTOTuition reimbursementPaid federal holidaysSecurity Clearance
Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.
Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and that may include lifting to thirty pounds, as necessary.
