SUMMARY :The Marketing Coordinator defines and executes the marketing strategy and objectives to continually promote and build the MAHLE Motorsport brand.
As a direct partner to Sales, activities will be coordinated to facilitate the achievement of annual targets and goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for all department advertising, in both print and digital media.
Defines and creates content for ads and promotions with planned campaign on a quarterly basis.
As well organize and record effectiveness of advertisements.Oversight and coordination with external Marketing Agency.
Responsible for in-house ad creation as well as working with the external firm to ensure all advertising adheres to corporate guidelines and department strategy.Maintains the department website according to company guidelines and manages new content, user function, updates, etc.Provides similar content and updates to customers and distributors to ensure their websites and advertising materials are relevant and up to date.Social Media – Maintains sites/pages according to company guidelines and interacts daily with customers on behalf of department on social media platforms.Creates and publishes an annual product CatalogResponsible for planning and organizing of events with on-site displays, and content of primary, annual trade shows; SEMA & PRI.Creation of promotional materials; both product/tech related and company promotions.
Coordinates with Engineering to create technical bulletins and new product releases.
Will also maintain a line of department branded apparel for both promotional opportunities and resale.Coordinates event and racer sponsorships, as well as management of any contingency programs or payouts.Budget responsibility, including planning and tracking for all Marketing activities.Reviews sales/marketing trends and monitors outside competitors for benchmarking.Provides supplemental customer service for warehouse distributors and dealers; utilizing SAP interface for all basic Sales functions; sales orders, stock checks, order tracking, returns & credits.Candidate must be able to communicate clearly and effectively on a variety of technical subjects with audiences of varied technical skill, background and personality.Participates in meetings, seminars, and training sessions as needed to stay appraised of new developments in field.
In turn, must likewise prepare and present pertinent information for meetings, seminars and training sessions.Prepares reports concerning departmental activities as required.Travels periodically to other MAHLE locations as needed, as well as customer sites, customer scheduled meetings and trade shows.Other duties may be assigned as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:Associates degree from college or technical school; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Power Point); SAP training provided.Proficient in graphic design software; ex. Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro, & IllustratorVideo / photography skills to produce content a plusUnderstanding of Social Platform Advertising and ability to decipher Google Analytics and Google Ads trendsPreferable knowledge of motorsports industry and automotive engines and components.Portfolio desiredAnalytics is important; marketing is as important as graphics
