What you'll do
The Cable Engineering Group (CEG) is looking for an expert Wire Harness Designer to join our outstanding team! In this multifaceted role, you will be responsible for the design of cables and harnesses, including all related content for various products. Mentor more junior level members of the team and provide recommendations. Your strong communication and organization skills combined with your knowledge in electrical, mechanical, and EMI design will serve you well as you generate wire lists, assembly drawings, specify connector and wire types, and work with systems, electrical, test and operations engineering teams to ensure a quality and manufacturable product.
The day-to-day
Generate sophisticated cable and harness design packagesLead group discussions.Mentor junior designersProvide mentorship to programs in identifying critical components and design features and challenges.
What you'll need
10+ years of related experienceAssociate of Science Degree in technology or proven work experienceStrong practical experience with SolidWorks, or other CAD based wire harness design tools.Strong oral and written skillsSolid understanding and use of industry standards (IPC/WHMA-A-620)Solid understanding of electrical schematicsExperience in the creation of fabrication drawings and related BOM's as well as experience with crafting processes and standardization documentation.Strong understanding and working knowledge of with Agile or other PLM platforms.US citizenship requiredUp to 15-20% travel

Salary range
$118,800.00 - $206,600.00 / annually
