Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer for maintaining Operating Procedures. Integral in interpreting complex technical information into understandable materials. The Technical Writer/Communication Analyst acts as reviewer/convener, user champion, editor, publisher, and promoter. Continuous improvement mindset.

- Revise operations procedures; manage the lifecycle of the document; work with SMEs for content review and approval.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, policies and procedures.
- Ability to articulate in writing detailed concepts and to present information to a variety of audiences in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to coordinate across the organization to complete projects on time with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work within a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment with minimal supervision.
- Ability to provide an excellent customer experience to both internal and external clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in technical writing, communications, English, or related field (or 4 years relevant work experience equivalency).
- Demonstrated experience with writing reports.
- Specific experience within any of the following: Document Management System(s), Human Performance Improvement (HPI), Project Management (preferred)
- Procedure Professionals Association (PPA) procedure writer certification (preferred)
- Previous energy industry experience (preferred)
- Adobe FrameMaker, or experience working in similar writing software
- Prior experience working in a regulated environment using writing standards.
