Sunnyvale, California, United States Join our experienced engineering team to deliver new and exciting features for Apple Immersive Video playback and rendering on Apple Vision Pro.
As a contributor on our team, you will work with new technologies such as RealityKit, AVFoundation, Metal, and more. You will have access to a wide variety of internal frameworks and services that enable the creation of deeply integrated experiences within our operating systems. Responsibilities
Develop and optimize immersive video playback and rendering features for Apple Vision Pro Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and frameworks Contribute to the design and implementation of high-performance graphics and media applications Minimum Qualifications
At least 3 years of experience in software development Experience in 3D graphics rendering, such as Metal, Vulkan, DirectX, or OpenGL Proficiency in a systems programming language, such as C/C++, Objective-C, or Swift Understanding of internet networking protocols, such as HTTP Experience in shipping applications or libraries for customer use Preferred Qualifications
Experience with spatial computing and AR applications MS in Computer Science Experience with immersive video formats like Spherical v2, OMAF, or VR180 Track record of building complex, functional, and visually appealing applications Knowledge of video and audio encoding, delivery, and playback Understanding of linear algebra and 3D math Some 3D modeling experience is advantageous Knowledge of Xcode and Apple platform development Compensation and Benefits
The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple offers comprehensive benefits including medical and dental coverage, retirement plans, employee stock programs, and educational reimbursement.
