La Jolla Logic is looking for qualified candidates in (Colorado Springs, CO) to support the development and fielding of Defensive Cyber Operations capabilities for the US Space Force utilizing DevSecOps environments and lean agile practices. The goal is to establish enterprise-level safeguards such as computer and network systems security and cyber situational awareness, damage assessment and recovery, cyber threat recognition, attribution, mitigation, and active response methodologies across Enterprise Ground Services (EGS) in response to evolving threats and changes to the cyber environment.
The programs goal is to ensure delivery of critical infrastructure services and limit or contain the impact of a potential cybersecurity event and to protect the following mission sets: Protected Communications, Missile Warning, Military Strategic Communications (MILSATCOM), Position Navigation and Timing (PNT), Ballistic Missile Command and Control, Space Domain Awareness (SDA), Nuclear Command Control and Communications (NC3), and Command and Control Satellite Operations (C2 Sat Ops).
Salary Range: $100,000-$135,000
Responsibilities
- Broad knowledge of a domain and developing knowledge of additional skills related to the domain; applies standard principles, theories, concepts, and techniques.
- Works as part of a team under minimal supervision/instruction on routine work, and general instructions for new work; non-routine decisions, duties, and work may be reviewed by more senior staff; monitors own progress on assigned tasks and may train and mentor new members of a team.
- Develops documents/artifacts, with minimum peer/Sr level review. Solves a variety of problems, applying standard professional concepts and methodologies. Works on diverse problems requiring evaluation of identifiable factors with full use and application of established practices.
- Seek to understand how users intentions, needs, and behaviors inform service/product design and strategy.
- Gather and evaluate user requirements to create both functional and appealing features to address client needs.
- Turn business goals and requirements into illustrated designed ideas using wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, and process flow/site maps of future services/products.
- Conduct user research and test ideas, using the data and analysis to validate design and inform decisions.
- Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how each will function and what they will look like.
- Ensure designs turn into tangible products, taking ownership of reviewing the finished product for functionality, and adjusting based on user feedback.
- Proactively identify, troubleshoot and resolve UX problems (i.e. responsiveness).
- Ensure that user interface and experience designs follow best practices and comply with security requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, software development or STEM related specialty.
- Secret security clearance: U.S. Citizenship is required.
- 3-7 years' experience.
- Familiarity & Knowledge: SIMP Project, Ansible, Docker, GIT, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Suricata, Zeek, Kibana, Logstash, Elastic Search, Neo4J, PostgreSQL.
- Experience or Knowledge in the following Areas: Agile software development, agile methodologies, agile project management, software project management, defensive cyber operations, software development life cycle management, program/project management, cross-functional team.
- Ability to obtain SAFe for Teams certification.
