Overview Responsive Technology Partners is seeking a Senior Web Developer in Fort Myers, Florida to lead our growing web team. This in person role combines hands-on development, team management, and client-facing responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be proficient in WordPress, possess strong web design sensibilities, and have the leadership skills to manage designers and support sales efforts. Key Responsibilities: Lead Web Projects: Oversee the development and design of modern, responsive websites—primarily built on WordPress—from planning to launch. Web Design: Apply strong visual and UX design principles to create clean, engaging, and userfriendly interfaces. Ensure websites are visually consistent, onbrand, and optimized for all devices. Programming and Development: Write, test, and maintain efficient code using WordPress, PHP, JavaScript, MySQL/MariaDB, and other relevant technologies. Team Management: Supervise and mentor a team of web designers and junior developers, ensuring project timelines and quality standards are met. Sales and Client Engagement: Work closely with the sales team to scope projects, provide technical insights, and help convert opportunities into signed contracts. Attend client meetings as a technical advisor when needed. Website Optimization: Ensure websites meet modern standards for performance, security, SEO, and accessibility. Problem Solving & Maintenance: Identify and resolve website issues quickly and proactively. Ideal Candidate Profile: WordPress Expertise: Solid experience building and customizing WordPress websites using themes, plugins, and custom code. Web Design Skills: Strong portfolio demonstrating clean, modern web design with a focus on usability, responsiveness, and branding. Technical Stack: Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, and familiar with tools like Elementor, WPBakery, or other page builders. Leadership: Previous experience managing creative or technical staff, with an ability to foster collaboration and accountability. SalesFriendly: Able to communicate technical details in plain language to support business development. DetailOriented: High standards for quality, performance, and aesthetics. Continuous Learner: Keeps current with design trends, web standards, and development tools.
