Commercial Installation Technician
Location: Canton, GA | Travel-Based | Full-Time | Entry-Level

We specialize in turnkey A/V solutions, including pre-sales design, cable infrastructure, equipment installation, DSP and control systems programming, commissioning, and QA. From corporate boardrooms to education, hospitality, and large public venues, we support commercial AV projects of all sizes and scopes.
With regional offices in Atlanta, Birmingham, Raleigh, Dallas, and Tampa, our technicians are equipped to travel nationwide to meet client needs.
RPM AV Services is seeking motivated, detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Commercial Installation Technicians. This is a full-time, travel-based position focused on the installation of commercial audio-visual systems in corporate, education, and government environments.
Please note: This is not a live event or staging position. This role is strictly related to permanent commercial AV system installations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload AV equipment at job sites, RPM’s warehouse, or partner facilities
- Pull cable according to project documentation and local code requirements
- Install displays, projectors, speakers, racks, touch panels, and related AV gear
- Work with commercial AV platforms like Crestron, Extron, Biamp, and QSC
- Review and redline project wiring diagrams and documentation
- Track and document tools, equipment serial numbers, and hardware inventory
- Maintain clean work areas and dispose of packaging daily
- Assist with testing, alignment, and setup of all installed equipment
- Support lead techs with daily reporting, quality control, and troubleshooting
- Log time accurately using RPM’s digital time-tracking system
- Adherence to corporate Vision and Values
What You Bring:
- No prior AV experience required – we provide paid training
- Successfully complete criminal background check, motor vehicle review, and drug test prior to start
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented work ethic
- Experience and comfort with hand tools, small power tools, and industrial tools
- Strong communication skills and experience working on a team
- Own a cordless drill set (all other tools provided)
Qualifications:
- AVIXA CTS or CTS-I certification
- OSHA 10 certification
Job offer includes:

Job Type: Full-Time
Pay Range: $18-25/hr
Location: Job sites vary and require travel up to 25 days per month
