Barnes & Noble Is Giving Teen eBooks With Nook Tablet Purchase
Just as Google is shipping its Nexus 7, Barnes & Noble is upping its game and giving a bonus to customers who purchase a Nook Tablet — the book retailer’s competing tablet.
Those consumers who buy the company’s tablet eReader will receive a free collection of eBooks for kids.
The promo is a part of the book retailer’s “Nook Kids Summer Reading Program,” which is designed to keep kids reading throughout the summer. Today through August 5 is for readers aged 12 and up and includes the books: Blue Bloods by Melissa de la Cruz; Angel Burn by L. A. Weatherly; The Enemy by Charlie Higson; and Jessica’s Guide to Dating on the Dark Side by Beth Fantaskey.
The promotion, which is only good for purchases in physical stores, is part of a series that targets different age groups. Beginning August 6 through September 2, Barnes & Noble will give away a selection of Disney picture books aimed at younger readers.
