2011 has been one hell of a year for Jackie Kucinich.  Just last month, the pint-sized powerhouse was lured away from Roll Call and her Capitol Hill beat to cover the Republican elections for USA Today.  Not to be outdone by March, April has offered the rambunctious redhead even more excitement…this time in the form of an engagement ring!

Sorry boys, she’s officially off the market.  Jared Allen, Kucinich’s longtime beau and VP at FD Public Affairs, popped the question last night at his family’s home in Houston, Tx.  Jackie and Jared, who met while reporting  for The Hill newspaper, have not yet set a date for their nuptials but we expect she’ll shed that pesky political surname sometime this fall.  Congrats to you both!
