Rodrigo Sierra Joins Johnson Publishing as Chief Marketing Officer

Following the news that Desiree Rogers has been named the CEO of Ebony and Jet parent Johnson Publishing, the company has also announced that it’s brought on board Rodrigo Sierra, a former colleague of Rogers’, as chief marketing officer.

“We are pleased to have Rodrigo join the leadership team at Johnson Publishing,” said Rogers in a statement. “Rodrigo and I have worked together over the years in previous roles and I am confident that his deep and broad experience in communications, media and corporate branding will serve him well in his new role.”

According to his LinkedIn page, Sierra is the principal of Sierra Public Affairs Strategies. He has also led the PR team at Integrys Energy Group for eight years, and was deputy press secretary for Chicago Mayor Richard Daley from 2000 to 2002.
