Technical Difficulties: What you missed yesterday

Yesterday we had tech issues, and we’re sorry. We hope you didn’t miss us too much/noticed we were gone. In any case, while we waited for everything to work again we jotted down all the lovely media tidbits we wanted to share with you…and then suddenly found ourselves seized by the impulse to put it all to the tune of “We Didn’t Start The Fire” by Billy Joel. It may be the geekiest thing we’ve ever done, and there is no good explanation. But when the muse calls, you listen. Here, sing along, assuming the meter’s right. (Open in a new window, fyi.)

Roger Ailes and Paula Zahn, back to sports for Olbermann,
Circulation, Michael Jackson shops a TV show

We didn’t start the fire

But we tried to fight it

O’Reilly throws a tantrum, Yanks get a new stadium,

Matt and Judy, White House Press, cleaning up the Gitmo mess
GMA and “Today” – what else do I have to say?

We didn’t start the fire
It was always burning
Since the world’s been turning
We didn’t start the fire
But when we are gone
It will still go on, and on, and on…
(kinda like this so-o-o-ong…)

**NB – There’s actually one more verse to go in the song but frankly we’re spent so it falls to you, dear readers, to whip up a kickass final stanza and send it in for us to ooh and aah over. Oh yeah, and no dissing Billy Joel, big shot. He’s always a woman to me.
