Barnes & Noble Brings Nook To The U.K.

Barnes & Noble has launched its Nook line of eReaders in the U.K. The bookseller is currently selling the Nook Simple Touch for £79 and the Nook Simple Touch GlowLight for £109 via its website nook.co.uk.

The bookseller has also partnered with the supermarket chain Asda to sell Nooks and digital media. Nook devices will be the exclusive eReader in more than 300 Asda stores across the U.K. as well as online at Asda Direct.

Barnes & Noble enters the British market later than its competitors. Amazon and Kobo both introduced devices and launched  eBook stores in the U.K. last year.
The Nook U.K. store has more than 2.5 million digital books. Nook HD tablets are available for preorder online and will ship to U.K. customers in November.
