Toys”R”Us Launches Tablet With iStorybooks

iStorybooks, Candy Factory and Little Red Riding Hood are among the eBooks and apps available for the new Toys”R”Us tablet, the Tabeo. The tablet comes preloaded with these apps but parents and kids can also purchase content for the device from the App Store.

The 7″ Wi-Fi enabled Tabeo tablet is designed as a device for learning and play. It comes with a removable bumper to protect it in case of falls. AppNewser has more about the tablet: “The tablet is designed specifically for kids and comes loaded with more than 50 apps including Angry Birds, Cut the Rope, Temple Run, 100 Floors, and educational apps AlphaTots, Discovery Kids Putterbugs, Operation Math. Kids can also use the device to search the Internet. Not to worry, it also has parental controls so that kids are limited in what they find. Parents can block 27 different categories of content and can even personalize sites to block.”

The $149 device is hits stores on October 21st.
