Full-time Faculty Positions

Full-time faculty positions will be posted on a per-opening basis. Postings are organized by college/school and department. Applicants will be evaluated at the college/school level for the position which they are submitting an application. Unless noted by a close date, positions will remain open until they are filled. Part-time Faculty Positions

DePaul University invites expressions of interest for a pool of qualified Part Time Faculty to teach courses in various disciplines across all 10 colleges and schools. Individuals may submit their credentials to any posting for which they are qualified. Postings are organized by college/school and department. Screening is ongoing, depending on curricular need and funding. Selected individuals will be contacted if they reach the finalist stage for a particular course or set of courses. The pool remains active until the specified closing date; beyond that, resubmission is required to remain in the pool. All pool members will be notified by email when the posting closes.

Responsibilities

DePaul's Jarvis College of Computing & Digital Media (CDM) is located in Chicago's Loop, the central business district. CDM values diversity in its faculty due to the varied backgrounds of its students. Part-time positions are available throughout the year, including summer sessions. Course schedules vary quarterly, and the college will coordinate with selected individuals to determine a schedule. Courses are not guaranteed, but notice will be provided about available courses. Applicants with matching expertise will be contacted for interviews.

The School of Cinematic Arts (SCA) offers undergraduate and graduate programs in Film and Television, Animation, Creative Producing, Documentary, and Screenwriting at the Loop campus and DePaul Cinespace Studios. Required Qualifications

Minimum requirements include a master's degree in the discipline, or 18 semester/27 quarter hours of graduate work in the discipline, or an undergraduate degree with at least five years of relevant professional experience. Exceptions may be considered with dean approval.

Candidates must have demonstrated experience teaching in diverse learning environments.

Considerations: Exceptions to standard rates may apply for courses with unique credit hours, supervision, labs, clinical/practicum courses, coaching, administrative tasks, over-enrolled or under-enrolled courses.

Compensation and Benefits: DePaul provides a good faith estimate of salary, which depends on qualifications, experience, responsibilities, budget, internal salary equity, and market factors. Academic Calendar

DePaul operates on a quarter system (except the College of Law). Classes are 11 weeks in fall, winter, and spring, with summer sessions typically 5 weeks. The College of Law uses a semester system with 16-week fall and spring classes and a 7-week summer session.

Salary

The anticipated rate is between $4,700 and $6,000 per course, depending on qualifications and experience.
