Position: Assistant Community Manager
The Assistant Community Manager oversees daily operations and financial functions of the housing community under the supervision of the Community Manager. Responsibilities include managing rent collections, financial reporting, personnel, leasing, maintenance, and ensuring compliance with policies, safety, and fair housing guidelines.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Post and reconcile all payments and income accurately and timely.
- Monitor and follow up on bad debt, late notices, evictions.
- Help meet budgeted revenues and expenses.
- Manage resident accounts, move-out charges, and security deposits.
- Assist with personnel management, including hiring, training, coaching, and ensuring staff compliance.
- Implement leasing strategies, marketing plans, and resident retention programs.
- Maintain property appearance, supervise service requests, and ensure timely repairs.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s preferred or two years housing industry experience.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.
Physical Requirements
- Regular standing, sitting, moving about, and occasional lifting up to 25 lbs. Must work in various environments and conditions, including outdoor and confined spaces.
Asset Living offers a comprehensive total rewards package including benefits, 401K with matching, bonuses, paid sick days, and holidays. Salary range: $19-$20/hour.
