Job Description:

The Public Safety and Private Communications (PSPC) sector of the L3Harris Communication Systems (CS) segment is seeking a program manager to join our Land Mobile Radio implementation team. Daily activities include interfacing with local government customer, laying out schedules and plans, managing the cross functions (systems engineering, factory technicians, financial analysis, etc.) and overall ownership of the successful delivery of LMR systems to the customer that is within scope, schedule, and budget.

Essential Functions:

Scope Management: Ability to interpret contracts and maintain the scope baseline.

Schedule Management: Familiarity and use of MS Project for building and maintaining project schedules.

Cost Management: Ability to work with Excel spreadsheets and a program financial analyst for forecasting spend and controlling cost.

Risk Management: Use of a risk register to identify risk, determine financial exposure, and develop plans to mitigate risk.

Change Management: Ability to recognize and document potential changes in a Change Log and drive Change Orders that are profitable to the business.

Communication Management: Excellent verbal and written communication skills as this position is both outward facing (customer) and inward facing (internal team.)

Action and Issue Management: Use of an action/issue register to drive internal and external team meetings to keep progress moving forward.

Technical Acumen: Must have prior communications background or the desire to learn the basics of our radio infrastructure and radio products.

Travel: Travel will be needed for certain customer meetings as well as installation and system testing milestones. Travel is estimated to be

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
  
  
  

Preferred Additional Skills:

• 10 years and a proven track record of successfully implementing large scale LMR or similar communication systems.
• Masters degree
• Bachelor's degree in business or technical field.
• PMP Certified
• Experience with MS Project Scheduling and other MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  
  
  

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $108,500 - $201,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays.
