Job Overview: We’re looking for a highly creative and versatile Junior Video Content Producer to join our NHL team’s content crew. This role involves traveling with the team throughout the season to capture, produce, and edit compelling video content that tells the story of our players, coaches, and culture—both on and off the ice. You’ll be a key member of the Blue Note Productions content team, the Blues digital/social content team, and will work closely with other editors, producers, and creatives to deliver high-quality video that excites and engages fans across platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel with the team to games, practices, community events, and team functions (80%+ of the season).
  • Capture behind-the-scenes video, in-game footage, player features, and lifestyle content using professional video equipment.
  • Edit short-form and long-form video packages for use across multiple channels including social media (X, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok), website, YouTube, broadcast and internal platforms.
  • Collaborate with social/digital teams to develop video concepts aligned with campaigns, storytelling goals, and sponsor integrations.
  • Maintain media management workflows including file organization, backups, and metadata tagging.
  • Create content in real-time for rapid social media posting on game days and during breaking news moments.
  • Conduct occasional interviews and script writing for player features or fan-driven segments.
  • Ensure video content meets brand guidelines, quality standards, and platform-specific best practices.
  • Assist with motion graphics or simple animation work as needed (bonus).

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in video production/content creation, preferably in sports, media, or entertainment.
  • Proficiency with cameras (Sony, Canon, Blackmagic, etc.), lighting, and audio gear.
  • Strong editing skills in Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut; knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop, and other Creative Cloud tools is a plus.
  • Proven ability to shoot and edit compelling visual stories under tight deadlines.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure, and constantly changing environment.
  • Passion for hockey and a deep understanding of the NHL culture and fanbase.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including weekends and holidays, throughout the NHL season.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with players, coaches, and team staff.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience creating content for TikTok, Reels, and short-form social platforms.
  • Familiarity with social media publishing tools and video analytics.

What We Offer

  • A front-row seat to the action—working in the heart of NHL hockey.
  • The opportunity to shape a beloved and growing brand.
  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
  • Dynamic, team-first culture with a commitment to innovation and inclusion
