Job Overview
We are seeking a Senior Front End Developer to join our team and take ownership of the development of our web applications. The ideal candidate should be passionate about technology, have a strong sense of design, and a solid understanding of the latest web development trends. As a Senior Front End Developer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality and scalable code that meets the business requirements. This position is on-site at Futurex's Engineering Campus in Bulverde, 15 miles north of San Antonio, Texas.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain high-quality and scalable web applications using modern web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript)Collaborate with UX/UI designers and back-end developers to ensure the technical feasibility of designs and implement them with high fidelityWrite clean and efficient code, and ensure it is thoroughly tested and optimized for performanceIdentify and address technical debt and implement code refactoring when necessaryStay up-to-date with the latest web development trends and best practices, and apply them to improve the development processMentor junior developers, review their code, and provide technical guidanceParticipate in code reviews, agile development processes, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the team's development practicesRequirements
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience5+ years of experience in front-end web development, with a strong focus on JavaScript, HTML, and CSSExperience with modern web development frameworks and libraries such as Vue.js (highly preferred), React, or AngularKnowledge of server-side rendering, client-side rendering, and web performance optimization techniquesFamiliarity with cross-browser compatibility issues and how to address themExperience with version control systems, such as Git, and development workflows, such as Agile and ScrumExcellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication and collaboration skills, and ability to work effectively in a teamStrongly Preferred
Experience working and developing in a Linux environmentFamiliarity with using and deploying docker containersThorough understanding of web servers and web paradigms
