Anticipated start date is early to mid October.Position OverviewThe Content & Communications Coordinator is a part-time role focused on developing and sharing compelling content that supports SELs mission and programs. This position is responsible for creating and maintaining digital and print communications, including social media content, email newsletters, website updates, and promotional materials. Working under the supervision of the Education & Outreach Manager, the Content & Communications Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring consistent and engaging messaging across platforms. This role is ideal for a strong visual storyteller and clear communicator who is passionate about local food and community engagement.ResponsibilitiesContent Creation & PromotionCreate original digital and print content to promote SELs programs, events, and missionMaintain a consistent and engaging presence on SELs social media platformsDesign flyers, graphics, handouts, and materials using tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative SuiteDraft and schedule email newsletters and promotional announcements in collaboration with the Education & Outreach ManagerWebsite & Digital ManagementUpdate website content to ensure timely and accurate program informationMaintain digital assets including shared photo and video librariesSupport SEO and website structure improvements to increase online visibility (with guidance)Internal Collaboration & Communication SupportCoordinate with other staff to gather stories, updates, and photos for use in communicationsEnsure brand consistency and messaging alignment across all communication channelsTrack social media analytics and digital engagement metrics to help guide future content strategyPublic Presence & Outreach SupportAssist with occasional tabling at events and farmers' marketsSupport preparation of outreach materials and displaysQualifications1-3 years of experience in communications, marketing, graphic design, or a related fieldStrong writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt content for different platforms and audiencesExperience with social media management and content scheduling toolsProficiency with Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop)Experience with WordPress or similar website platformsAbility to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and take initiative with minimal supervisionComfort working in a fast-paced, collaborative nonprofit environmentEnthusiasm for SELs mission and a desire to connect communities with local foodAbility and willingness to work occasional evening or weekend eventsValid drivers license and access to transportationPhotography and video editing skills are a plusCompensation and Work EnvironmentHours per week: Part-time, 20 hours per weekPay Rate: $19-$22 per hour, depending on experienceBenefits: Accrued PTO, technology stipend, mileage reimbursement, and paid parental leaveSchedule: Flexible schedule depending on the availability of the applicant. The position will need to attend some meetings and other events but many components of the job can be done on a flexible schedule. We will work with the individual on a fixed schedule that is beneficial to both parties.Location: Hybrid. Some work can be performed remotely but participation in working hours at our office will be required. Physical location is 4 Captain Smith Emerson Rd, Lee, NH 03861. 2nd floor access by stairs only. Technology: Employees must have their own computer and regular access to internet speeds that are capable of handling streaming video meetings.
