About this Position The digital content creator in the Office of Communications and Marketing for OSU Agriculture is a professional who brings the OSU Agriculture brand to life through compelling digital storytelling. They develop high-quality digital assets that advance strategic communication and marketing objectives for OSU Agriculture, which is comprised of the Ferguson College of Agriculture and two state agencies: OSU Extension and OSU Ag Research. They work closely with other staff in the office to promote and OSU Agriculture within the OSU community, state, region and country. Responsibilities: Ideate, produce and edit digital content, including videos, infographics and photos, as part of multi-channel marketing campaigns. Collaborate with teams in the Office of Communications and Marketing to elevate existing content. Use analytics and key performance indicators to inform data-driven digital strategies. Work with faculty and staff within OSU Agriculture to bring awareness to programming and topics through digital content. Plan and maintain a digital content calendar to incorporate content into various channels including social media, email communications and web content. Maintain consistency with OSU Agriculture’s brand guidelines. Use strategic communication and marketing efforts to enhance the visibility and reputation of OSU Agriculture among stakeholders. Maintain thorough knowledge of individual assignments, related schedules and deadlines. Meet with university partners as appropriate. Other duties as assigned. (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date) One year of experience producing video content and photography. Experience with digital platforms, including social media, email communications and web. Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses: Oklahoma driver’s license or ability to obtain an Oklahoma driver’s license within 30 days of hire. Reimbursement for official travel. Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge: Experience in video creation for incorporation into social media, email communications and web content. Experience creating content for social media platforms, including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn . Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud products. Learn quickly and adapt to changing environments. Work within existing brand guidelines to deliver cross-platform materials relevant for a variety of audiences. Possess excellent organizational skills, be able to visualize concepts, communicate and interpret goals and effectively manage multiple contacts or stakeholders for projects. Demonstrate creativity, knowledge of communications and aligning content with audience needs. Able to work cross-functionally with supervisor, other content creators in the department, OSU Agriculture faculty and staff, and campus partners to meet goals. Skilled in creating and managing a content calendar. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Solid understanding of Associated Press style. Able to work independently on projects and contribute to project team efforts. Basic understanding of creating content that meets accessibility best practices is preferred. Knowledge of monetizing YouTube a plus. Experience with content management systems a plus. Working knowledge of artificial intelligence platforms and capacities a plus. Working knowledge of agriculture a plus.
