About this Position
Help future Cowboys find their place at OSU! As part of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, our creative and collaborative communications team is responsible for strategic communication, marketing, and outreach efforts to prospective students, their families, and other internal and external audiences. This includes creating engaging content and executing a robust communication flow for email, print, social media, web, events, and more. This position will also support special initiatives and other duties as assigned by the leadership team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field (degree must be conferred on or before the start date)
- Related work experience in communications, social media, project management, website editing, content creation, video editing, graphic design, publishing, and campaign planning.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to organize materials, write, edit, visualize concepts, and interpret goals, with proficiency in AP style and adaptive writing.
- Knowledge of communications and ability to align content with audience needs.
- Creativity, quick learning, and adaptability to changing environments.
- Ability to lift 45 lbs (recruitment materials).
Preferred Qualifications
- Over three years of successful experience in communications.
- Experience writing for multiple mediums: email, print, social media, web.
- Experience managing social media content for a brand.
- Graphic design experience.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Experience with Adobe Suite.
