About The Podcast - The Bells I Hear
The Bells I Hear is a storytelling podcast produced by Mentor A Promise, amplifying the voices of changemakers, artists, advocates, and everyday visionaries. Each episode captures raw, real, and resonant conversations on justice, belonging, identity, healing, and hope. It is more than a podcast-it’s a space for listening deeply and imagining boldly.
Position Overview
We’re looking for a mission-aligned, highly organized, and creatively curious Assistant to the Podcast Host to support the planning, communication, and execution of each episode. This role is ideal for someone passionate about storytelling, social justice, and uplifting community voices behind the scenes.
Responsibilities Include
- Coordinate podcast recording schedules with guests and host
- Draft and manage all guest communication (invitations, confirmations, thank-you notes)
- Conduct research on podcast guests, topics, and related themes
- Prepare guest bios and show notes
- Support the development of interview outlines and creative prompts
- Organize and maintain podcast production timelines and assets
- Take meeting notes and track follow-ups
- Manage shared drives and digital episode folders
- Provide day-to-day support to the host and production team
- Are deeply organized and reliable with a love for storytelling
- Are an excellent communicator with strong writing skills
- Have experience coordinating schedules and managing digital tools (Google Drive, Calendar, Docs)
- Bring care, discretion, and thoughtfulness to every interaction
- Are excited to grow with a small, purpose-driven creative team
- Bonus Have experience in media, production, nonprofit work, or community-based projects
