Starting Rate of Pay: $12.00/hour
Length of Time: Eligible for rehire on a semester basis.
Department Description
The Nido R. Qubein School of Communication (NQSC) houses 7 majors, 7 minors, and over 800 undergraduate students. The Master of Arts in Communication and Business Leadership program currently has over 200 majors, with some face-to-face and some online. We are looking for a graduate student to coordinate events for these programs.
Job Location/ Hours Required
The candidate will perform most/all job duties in the Nido R. Qubein School of Communication. Hours may vary depending on the job requirements; however, the total number of hours a student employee may work per week is 20 hours. This position requires up to 5 hours per week.
Responsibilities :
- Works with School of Communication faculty to plan and manage face-to-face and in person events for the NQSC and CBL programs
- Works with faculty and staff to be sure all elements of the events are booked: room reservations, catering, technology, etc.
- Attends events when available to be sure they are running smoothly
Required Qualifications:
- Well-organized with excellent multi-tasking abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks to be sure deadlines are met
Desired Skills:
- Must have a minimum 3.0 overall GPA
- Experience coordinating events
