You have a keen eye for detail, work well independently, and enjoy collaborating with leadership and teammates. You’re passionate about creating a spicy experience that excites users. Deadlines don’t scare you; pressure motivates you to do fantastic work because you love what you do. The Fun Stuff Define interface requirements by collaborating with users and stakeholders. Collect and analyze user behaviors and needs through user research. Design user flows, sitemaps, wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups that are intuitive and clearly present information. Brand and design UIs, define style guides to ensure consistency in the interface. Collaborate with team members including other designers, project managers, developers, engineers, and product champions. The Necessities You have a bachelor’s degree in a visual communications discipline (graphic design, web design, interactive design, etc.) and at least five years of experience in that discipline (experience may substitute for a degree). You are proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign to create sitemaps, user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups. Your design sensibility is refined and purposeful, producing artifacts that are both beautiful and functional. Coding HTML and CSS is a natural part of your rapid prototyping workflow, and you understand its role in responsive design. Talking to users and soliciting feedback comes naturally, and you can articulate design concepts to diverse audiences. You possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Desired: Experience with Agile Development and Product Management. The Place to Be Work location is in Columbia, Maryland, with some telework options available. Salary Details Salary range will be provided during the selection process. Exact pay depends on factors such as experience, project needs, and telework options.
