Responsibilities
- Define interface requirements by collaborating with users and stakeholders
- Collect and analyze user behaviors and needs through user research
- Design user flows, sitemaps, wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups that are intuitive and present a clear flow of information
- Brand and design UIs, define style guides to ensure consistency in the interface
- Collaborate with teammates that may include other designers, project managers, developers, engineers, and product champions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, human factors engineering, or a related discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Usability Engineering) and at least 10 years of experience
- Mastery of Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar software to design sitemaps, user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups
- Familiarity with a prototyping tool such as Axure, Sketch, or Adobe XD
- Refined and purposeful design sensibility; artifacts you create are beautiful and functional
- Experience talking to users and soliciting their feedback, and the ability to articulate design concepts to a variety of audiences
Location and Compensation
Location: Annapolis Junction, MD
Salary: Provided during the selection process; exact pay determined by factors including experience, contract requirements, billable vs. non-billable work, urgency/demand, and location/telework options.
