Responsibilities

Define interface requirements by collaborating with users and stakeholders

Collect and analyze user behaviors and needs through user research

Design user flows, sitemaps, wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups that are intuitive and present a clear flow of information

Brand and design UIs, define style guides to ensure consistency in the interface

Collaborate with teammates that may include other designers, project managers, developers, engineers, and product champions

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in information systems, human factors engineering, or a related discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Usability Engineering) and at least 10 years of experience

Mastery of Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar software to design sitemaps, user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups

Familiarity with a prototyping tool such as Axure, Sketch, or Adobe XD

Refined and purposeful design sensibility; artifacts you create are beautiful and functional

Experience talking to users and soliciting their feedback, and the ability to articulate design concepts to a variety of audiences

Location and Compensation Location: Annapolis Junction, MD

Salary: Provided during the selection process; exact pay determined by factors including experience, contract requirements, billable vs. non-billable work, urgency/demand, and location/telework options.
