About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic Senior Vice President of Music Operations to drive growth and innovation within our music and licensing strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a talented team of music professionals, setting and exceeding our music and licensing goals. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our presence and relationships within the music industry are robust and effective.
As the SVP of Music Operations, you will manage all aspects of music operations, including budget oversight, and be a pivotal player in our company's cross-functional growth initiatives. Our ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a relevant field, preferably in Law, along with a minimum of 12 years of experience in music licensing negotiation and at least 5 years in a leadership role.
We require deep knowledge of U.S. music licensing structures and digital licensing models, coupled with experience harnessing consumer data. Strong business acumen, exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills are essential for this role. A proven track record of effectively leading cross-functional teams is highly valued.
If you have experience in the music streaming, DSP, or media/entertainment platform industry, alongside knowledge of emerging music technologies and data licensing practices, we want to hear from you. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, proactive problem solver, and will promote a collaborative, forward-thinking team culture.
