Job Description

Job Summary
Responsible for creating, modifying, and maintaining precise 3D CAD models and 2D CAD drawings. Working closely with sales, engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and quality to ensure timely engineering change requests (ECRs).

Duties

Obtain a working knowledge of Our Client's Quality System and implement it in all phases of daily work.
Utilize SolidWorks and AutoCAD to design accurate 3D models and 2D drawings within required timeframes.
Adjust to changing priorities based on engineering change notices or customer specifications.
Calculate dimensions, tolerances, and fits using standard allowances and sound drafting practices, including GD&T.
Develop structured bills of materials (BOMs) using spreadsheets and ERP/MRP software.
Provide support and/or complete necessary engineering documentation for processing engineering change orders or notices.
Support design reviews and collaborate with engineers, customers, and cross-functional teams to meet project milestones.
Assist in building, testing, and gathering data on prototypes to refine designs and address manufacturing issues.

Skills

Proficiency in interpreting, creating, and modifying complex engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Experience with common materials and manufacturing processes used in electric motor production.
Hands-on mechanical experience using shop tools and metrology equipment.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in MS Office O365 and excellent oral/written communication skills.
Self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
