About the Role:

U-Haul is seeking a results-driven SEO Strategist with 5+ years of hands-on experience to lead and execute SEO initiatives across multiple U-Haul Company websites. This role will be responsible for driving organic search visibility, developing content strategies, and implementing best practices in technical SEO. The ideal candidate is strategic and analytical, able to communicate SEO recommendations clearly to internal stakeholders, technical teams, and senior leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and manage SEO strategies across U-Haul’s digital properties.
• Conduct regular site audits and provide technical SEO recommendations to improve crawlability, indexing, and site performance.
• Lead local SEO initiatives to enhance U-Haul’s presence in regional and city-level searches.
• Monitor emerging AI trends and assess their impact on SEO and digital marketing strategies.
• Partner with content teams to guide SEO-driven content strategies aligned with consumer needs and marketing objectives.
• Build and maintain SEO performance dashboards and reports, providing insights to business units and stakeholders.
• Manage and prioritize SEO initiatives across multiple domains.
• Advocate for SEO best practices and educate cross-functional teams.
• Stay updated on industry trends, search engine updates, and competitive analysis to identify new growth opportunities.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of SEO experience (in-house preferred, agency acceptable).
• Strong knowledge of technical SEO (site architecture, crawling/indexing, structured data, Core Web Vitals).
• Proficiency in local SEO tactics and Google Business Profiles.
• Familiarity with AI-driven tools and digital marketing trends.
• Strong analytical skills using SEO tools (e.g., Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, SEMrush, Ahrefs, BrightEdge).
• Experience with web analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, GA4, Looker Studio).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to explain complex SEO concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
