The Visual Merchandiser contributes to the advertising, marketing, and sales efforts of a retail location by maintaining, developing, and taking charge of the visual look of the store and its merchandise. The Visual Merchandiser also contributes to the profitability of the store through merchandise handling, replenishment, and inventory control efforts.
Essential Functions
- Maintain visual displays independently and/or execute the design decisions of others.
- Support and maintain a compelling presentation of merchandise to encourage customers and stimulate sales activity.
- Serve as store's brand gatekeeper, ensuring the image and style of the company is projected at all times.
- Assist with inventory functions, shipping, receiving, and ticketing processes.
- Communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for long periods and maneuver around the store and property.
- Push, lift, and carry weights of 20 to 50 pounds.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
