Spectrum Interior Design is seeking a highly skilled, polished, and motivated Junior Designer to join our exceptional in-office team in Mountain View, CA.
This is a rare opportunity for a sharp, fast-moving design professional with a minimum of 3 years of experience in high-end residential interiors to join a premier design firm known for its exacting standards, refined aesthetic, and world-class clientele. Key Responsibilities
DESIGN ASSISTANCE
Presentation preparation and development
Client meeting preparations and post meeting documentation
Project documentation, organization and file management
Product sourcing assistance, research and specification
Project materials and sample requests
Design Studio and materials library organization and development
Project errands as needed
PROCUREMENT ADMINISTRATION
Vendor requests as support for specifications, quotes, samples, finishes, and lead time
Prepare and support order documentation: COM forms, drawings, etc.
Order expediting and tracking, Studio Designer updates and daily maintenance
Procurement quality assurance support
Receiving documentation and Warehouse correspondence
Project file management
INSTALLATION SUPPORT
Support all installation preparations
Restocking and preparation of installation tool kits
On-site installation facilitation assistance
Post installation file documentation
ACCESSORY AND HOLIDAY SUPPORT
Support new product receiving, documentation, quality assurance, showroom preparations and showroom staging
Custom holiday creation and holiday installations
On-site installation assistance
Product inventory support
File management
PHOTOSHOOT SUPPORT
Sourcing accessories and product returns
Accessories staging
Note : Additional responsibilities and special projects may be assigned to support the evolving needs of the firm.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
A minimum of 3 years of experience in high-end residential interior design
Fluent in AutoCAD and confident in PowerPoint with strong visual communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work with discretion, urgency, and meticulous attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Studio Designer is a plus
Self-motivated and strong time management skills
Work efficiently and effectively under tight deadlines
Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
Highly organized, resourceful, and solutions-oriented
Strong written and verbal communication skills that reflect clarity, professionalism, and polish
Professional communication style with the ability to interact with clients and team at all levels
A collaborative spirit with the ability to support a team and anticipate needs
A vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of current insurance as position calls for travel for off-site assignments
PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES
Interior Design Degree or Certification
Interest or prior experience in procurement or design purchasing
Aesthetic sensibility and understanding of luxury materials, furnishings, and finishes
