Community Builders began in the summer of 2017 with the idea of making volunteering more accessible. Our website hosts a variety of needs from many different causes from over 90 organizations across Monterey, where people can search online to match their interests to a need or contact us directly.

Our volunteers manage much of our outreach through social media, newsletters, and other digital communication. We are a hub that continually updates our knowledge on local needs, issues, and opportunities to best inform and engage community members to "do good." CBMC is specifically working with environmental groups, developing a program to reduce isolation through volunteerism, and implementing a new outreach effort based on issues education for social impact.

In this role, your main duties will include:

• Creating post content across various platforms to help us expand our reach.
• Promoting and amplifying calls for volunteers across different causes and organizations.
• Championing the spirit of civic and community engagement.
• Supporting the broader communications and outreach team with other tasks as needed.

Ideally, you will need the following skills:

• Prior experience with Instagram and Facebook is preferred.
• Self-motivated and organized.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A passion for social media and outreach.
