We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Marketing Assistant to join our team for a 6-month contract. This role is crucial in supporting our marketing efforts, particularly in the planning and execution of regional trade shows and events. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic industry.Responsibilities:•Trade Show & Event Support:o Assist with the coordination and execution of regional trade shows and industry events, including booth logistics, material preparation, and on-site support as needed.o Manage and track marketing collateral inventory for events, ensuring timely delivery and return of materials.o Coordinate equipment shipping to and from event venues, including liaising with shipping companies and internal teams.•Travel & Logistics Management:o Responsible for booking hotel accommodations and travel arrangements (flights, ground transportation) for a large team of 30+ employees attending events.o Manage travel itineraries and communicate details effectively to team members.o Process expense reports related to travel and events.•Marketing Material Development & Distribution:o Assist in the creation, editing, and proofreading of marketing materials such as brochures, presentations, case studies, and digital content.o Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors for the production and printing of marketing collateral.o Maintain and organize marketing asset libraries.•Administrative Support:o Provide general administrative support to the marketing department, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and organizing files.o Assist with budget tracking and invoice processing related to marketing activities.o Research industry trends and competitor activities as requested.We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Required Skills & Experience•Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Bachelor's degree program in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.•Proven experience (internship or part-time) in event coordination, administrative support, or a marketing-related role is a plus.•Exceptional organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).•Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively in a deadline-driven environment.•Proactive, resourceful, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.•Strong problem-solving abilities and a positive, can-do attitude.•Flexibility to travel occasionally for trade shows and events.
