Public Relations Communications Specialist Job at Adecco in McLean

Adecco Creative & Marketing is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Public Relations Specialist for a contractor position to support external communications across our clients Retail Banking and Fraud business lines. This role will play a critical part in managing media inquiries, developing measurement reports, supporting proactive media relations, and evaluating business engagements for potential reputation risk.

This is a 3month contract position with potential to extend. The rate for this role is between $30-$40hr.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with internal escalations teams to research customer cases.
• Draft recommended approaches and external statements.
• Manage stakeholder alignment and approval processes.
• Serve as a liaison with reporters.
• Lead development of bi-weekly coverage reports in partnership with an agency.
• Collaborate with agency partners on quarterly measurement reports.
• Review and draft pitches and story ideas.
• Support briefing book development for media opportunities.
• Vet and review speaking engagements, partnerships, and business activities for potential reputation risks.
• Provide communications support for retail banking touchpoints such as financial centers and cafés.
• Provide support for executive LinkedIn engagement in partnership with agency teams.
• Assist with influencer engagement initiatives.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Public Relations, Communications, or related fields
• Strong writing, editing, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working with agencies and managing media relations
