We are currently seeking a Mechanical Project Designer to work as part of a project design team, with guidance from a Project Manager and department lead to deliver construction documents.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide detailed designs using Autodesk AutoCAD and REVIT for review by a Project Engineer or VP
• Coordinate design elements and parameters with Project Manager as a part of a project design team
• Monitor and meet project performance targets and project delivery schedules
• Provide system engineering calculations under the Project Engineer or VP
• Communicate design considerations and questions with Project Engineer or VP
• Participate in project meetings and follow established organization and communication standards on every project
• Follow and implement established design standards under the guidance of the Project Engineer or VP
• Perform quality control on the designs produced before delivering final product to Project Engineer or VP
• Create and develop construction documents including specifications
• Coordinate critical design aspects with other project disciplines
• Assist Project Managers with the construction administration process for systems:
  • Maintain organized and accurate field construction drawings
  • Review shop drawings and product submittals
  • Respond to requests for information in a timely manner
• Observe and report on installation progress by conducting site observations at critical construction milestones to ensure compliance with the construction documents
• Communicate and work under the Project Engineer and VP to learn and apply standards and approaches

REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• EIT
• 1-3 years related experience
