Event Planning Student Assistant
The Event Planning Student Assistant will support the general operations of the Event Planning Services department by providing front-line customer service and reception for students, faculty, and staff. The Assistants will complete specific projects and duties for the professional Event Planning Services Staff in support of the day-to-day operations of the office. Responsibilities include: Providing administrative support by answering phones, replying to emails, greeting visitors, answering routine questions to determine needed resources, make referrals, and provide information on events, policies, systems, and office services. Processing event reservations in The Source for CIO usage of academic spaces. Processing event reservations in EMS for CIO usage of student activity spaces. Learning how to use all necessary EPS programs. Participating and contributing in EPS Staff Meetings. Assisting in the development and implementation of EPS policies. Assisting in communication with Contracted Independent Organizations (CIOs). Other duties as assigned. Hourly Rate: $12.41/hour Assignment Dates: August 27, 2024 - May 9, 2025 Qualifications:
Enthusiasm for event planning and helping students. Commitment to the mission of Event Planning Services and the Office of Student Affairs.
