About The Role

Our client is a rapidly scaling early-stage company focused on redefining access over ownership in the lifestyle and fashion space. By activating peer-to-peer sharing models, they’re unlocking value from items sitting unused in homes and boutiques — making quality goods more accessible, sustainable, and community-driven.

They’re seeking a Community & Events Coordinator to take the lead on local growth in Los Angeles. In this highly cross-functional role, you’ll grow and energize a passionate user base, onboard creators and collaborators, and bring the brand to life through in-person activations, social storytelling, and grassroots partnerships.

This is the perfect opportunity for someone who’s tapped into LA’s creator and fashion-forward scenes, thrives on connecting people, and knows how to turn scrappy ideas into memorable moments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and grow an engaged local user community of sharers and renters
  • Plan and host multiple in-person activations and events each month
  • Identify, onboard, and maintain relationships with creators, stylists, and local influencers
  • Collaborate on locally sourced social content and community campaigns
  • Coordinate with internal teams on city-specific messaging and growth strategy
  • Manage LA-based email and SMS campaigns to drive participation and retention
  • Develop partnerships with relevant local brands, communities, or pop-ups
  • Represent the brand locally — from last-minute requests to big-picture partnerships

You’ll Thrive In This Role If You…

  • Already have strong ties in the LA creative, fashion, or influencer community
  • Love talking to people and naturally build trust
  • Are resourceful and proactive — you act without waiting for permission
  • Have a “get-it-done” mindset and thrive in early-stage ambiguity
  • Are comfortable balancing strategy with scrappiness — both planning and executing
  • Can work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
  • Hold yourself accountable and follow through on what you say you’ll do

Bonus Experience

  • Prior startup or marketplace experience
  • Background in influencer/creator engagement or brand activations
  • Familiarity with peer-to-peer or sharing economy models
  • Some design/content creation chops (e.g., Canva or Reels/TikTok)
  • Comfortable being on camera or helping shoot quick-turn social content

Perks & Benefits

  • Equity and career growth in a high-impact, early-stage environment
  • Monthly credits to use the platform
  • Direct collaboration with founders and exec team
  • Professional coaching and mentorship
