Project Coordinator at Art Fabrication Studio

Local Language is an Oakland-based creative studio that curates and creates custom art collections for commercial spaces. We are visual artists, art consultants, designers, and extraordinary makers — and every art collection we produce tells the story of the community and location it belongs to.

The Role

We’re looking for a Project Coordinator who thrives on organization and loves making things run smoothly. This is a hands-on support role onsite in our Oakland studio where you’ll partner closely with our art consultants and creative team to ensure projects are delivered with precision and care.

The right candidate is process-driven, highly detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing many moving parts. If you’re the type who rolls up your sleeves, enjoys collaboration, administrative work, and wants to bring creative projects to life, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Organize project details, manage timelines, and coordinate between internal teams, clients, and vendors
  • Art Support: Draft artwork descriptions, assist with framing design, and oversee submittals for client approval
  • Sourcing & Procurement: Research and order materials, source objects, and services needed for project execution
  • Logistics: Coordinate shipping and freight for projects.
  • Documentation & Tracking: Maintain project records, schedules, and updates for stakeholders
  • Design Library: Manage and organize our design and sample library to keep resources current and accessible

Qualifications

  • Experience in project management, coordination, or operations (creative or design industry preferred)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with art fabrication, framing, or installation processes a plus
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
  • Proficiency with scheduling, budgeting, and project management tools
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Art, Design, Management, or related field preferred
  • Proficiency in excel, word, adobe acrobat

Employment type

  • Employment type: Full-time (Exempt) — Pay range: $24-26/hour
  • Location: Oakland, CA
