Position Overview

COL Group is a global digital content company at the forefront of technological innovation. With over 20 years in the digital culture industry, we tap into a vast IP portfolio and harness AI-driven innovation to accelerate content transformation, unlocking the full potential of IP across diverse formats. Sereal+, a COL vertical drama platform, has expanded into over 100 countries and regions, gaining significant international traction. In our Los Angeles office, the Content team of Sereal+ works closely with local studios and talent to create high-quality original vertical dramas. As a Junior Video Editor, you will be responsible for creating, assembly, and editing videos. We are seeking candidates with 1-3 years of experience in short video editing with a strong understanding of online short-form platforms such as DramaBox & ReelShort. Proficiency in storytelling is a must.

Responsibilities

• Syncing sound, creating multicams, organizing media bins, turnover, and editing shows from start to finish.
• Work closely with our production and post production teams to ensure pacing, emotion, and tonality are properly delivered in the final product.
• Receive performance data from our marketing team and apply these statistics to each prospective edit.
• Troubleshoot post-launch issues and verify all deliverables meet our platform’s standard of excellence.
• Stay up to date on current trends especially in the vertical drama realm.
• Continuously seek to improve editing skills, techniques, and motivation.

Requirements

• Work on-site at our office in Glendale, CA - 5 days a week.
• Experienced in video editing and video editing software such as Adobe Premiere, and Adobe After Effects (Davinci is a plus).
• Ability to follow directions and solve problems.
• Must be a team player. Ready to work. Excited to learn and eager to grow.

• Must be detail oriented and strive for perfection.
• Strong creative thinker and proactive in seeking out new solutions.
• Must be familiar with social media platforms including YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.
• Must have an ear for pairing the right music with each story.
• Perform other duties as required.
