Job Description
ProSidian seeks a Vancouver - VA VISN-20 | Court Reporter - Portland VA Medical Center-Vancouver, headquartered near Portland VA Medical Center-Vancouver, to support a Government - Federal sector engagement. The Veterans Health Administration provides care to eligible military veterans across 1,255 care facilities, including 170 medical centers and 1,074 outpatient sites, serving 9 million enrolled Veterans each year.
- This Non-Exempt | Contract Contingent position aligns with the Court Reporter labor category. Ideal candidates visualize, analyze, and convert data and experiences to meet performance challenges, engaging in productive dialogue targeting mission success. ProSidian team members provide Court Reporting Services to the Western States Network Consortium.
- Location: Vancouver - VA VISN-20 | Court Reporter - Portland VA Medical Center-Vancouver. Candidates shall support requirements for Assist program and project management in a functional area with educational and practical experience, and provide Court Reporting Services to the Western States Network Consortium.
- Candidates must be competent, efficient, and have the experience and training in Court Reporting to produce accurate, timely, bound and indexed transcribed testimony from witnesses. Candidates must be punctual, professional, and provide necessary equipment and materials.
- Candidates must be proficient in English to read portions of transcripts during proceedings and clarify inaudible statements if asked. Experience with Administrative Investigation Board (AIB) process, Equal Opportunity Hearing, MSPB, or arbitration hearings is preferred.
- Candidates must be able to administer oaths. Depositions shall be transcribed by a notary. Flexibility to accommodate turnarounds requested by the client. Work products must be thorough, accurate, and compliant with criteria.
- All employees shall conduct themselves in high ethical and professional standards and meet milestones and delivery schedules.
Qualifications
The Vancouver - VA VISN-20 | Court Reporter - Portland VA Medical Center-Vancouver requires consecutive employment in a similar role within the past five years. Must be able to use a computer and be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint). Technical proficiency in English (read, write, speak) is required. Physical requirements: bend, push/pull, lift up to 20 pounds, walk, stand, and sit for extended periods.
CREDENTIALING AND PRIVILEGING: A high school diploma or equivalency is required. At least one year of court reporting experience and NCRA Registered Professional Reporter (RPR) or equivalent certification. Credentials must be provided within one week upon client request. Travel: occasional travel may be required. Location: work near Portland VA Medical Center-Vancouver.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher) and Adobe.
- All ProSidian staff must be eligible for a Facility Access Authorization by the US Government Security Office.
