Overview

AP English Literature and Composition Tutor on the Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform. Thousands of students across the country seek online AP English tutors. As a tutor on the Varsity Tutors Platform, you can set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make a real impact on students’ learning—all from home.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-on-1 online tutoring to AP English Literature and/or AP English Language and Composition students.


• Deliver personalized lessons, explain concepts clearly, and adapt to different learning styles.


• Tutor remotely using our Live Learning Platform with no commuting.


• Use the platform features to generate engaging lessons and support student progress.


• Coordinate with students on scheduling; invoice for sessions; and adhere to platform processes.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.


• Expertise in AP English Literature and Composition, with ability to explain complex concepts clearly.


• Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.


• Prior tutoring or teaching experience and/or graduate-level education are preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

• Base contract rates start at $18/hour and increase for specialized subjects; paid up to $40/hour for ongoing sessions with the same student.
