Responsibilities

• Tutor students online using the Live Learning Platform.
• Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like.
• Personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
• Explain AP English Literature and Composition concepts clearly.
• Leverage tools such as the AI-powered Tutor Copilot to enhance sessions and save prep time.
• Invoice for tutoring sessions; Varsity Tutors handles payments.

Compensation and Benefits

• Base contract rates start at $18/hour and can increase for specialized subjects, with potential earnings up to $40/hour with repeat sessions from the same student.
• Get paid up to twice per week for tutoring sessions you conduct and invoice.
• Set your own schedule and work remotely without commuting.
• Get matched with students aligned to your teaching style and expertise.

What We Look For In a Tutor

• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Expertise in AP English Literature and Composition and the ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
• Priority given to those with tutoring or teaching experience and graduate-level education.
