$30.00-45.00/hour 1st Shift 6-Month Contract Position Summary: The Procurement Quote Expeditor is responsible for follow-up and expediting the procurement quotation process to ensure timely receipt, evaluation, and processing of supplier quotes. This role works closely with procurement, pricing, and suppliers to facilitate effective communication and accelerate the RFQ response cycle, supporting on-time supplier quote delivery and compliance. Key Responsibilities: Expedite Supplier Quotes: Monitor and follow up with suppliers to obtain timely and accurate quotations for procurement requests. Coordinate Communication: Serve as a liaison between internal departments (procurement, pricing, and engineering) and suppliers to clarify quote requirements, resolve issues, and ensure mutual understanding. Track RFQs and Quotes: Maintain accurate records of Request for Quotes (RFQs), supplier responses, and quote statuses in procurement systems or tracking tools. Analyze and Review Quotes: Assist in preliminary review of quotes for completeness and compliance with specifications. Problem Resolution: Identify delays or discrepancies in the quotation process and proactively work with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve them. Support Supplier Performance: Help improve supplier responsiveness and reliability by providing feedback and fostering strong supplier relationships. Documentation and Reporting: Generate reports on quote status, supplier responsiveness, and procurement cycle times for management review. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field preferred. Relevant experience may substitute for degree. Experience: 2+ years in procurement, supply chain, or expediting roles, preferably in manufacturing, aerospace, or engineering environments. Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Experience with ERP or procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) preferred. Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities. Problem-solving skills. Knowledge: Understanding of procurement processes and supplier management. Familiarity with technical specifications and RFQ processes.
