What we\'re looking for We’re looking for a

Director, Brand Retail Design Experience – Global (1 year contract) , with a background in VM and retail design to join our Creative Design team. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating a clear retail storytelling experience and retail design concepts across our global retail partners (Ulta, Harrods, Sephora, Boots, Selfridges, etc.).

This is a hybrid role based out of our

New York

office.

The pay range for this role is

$160,000 - $180,000

based on experience.

What you\'d be doing in this role

Generate & initiate new Retail Design experiences and conceptualize ideas and validation and present to the Creative Director & C-Suite for approval

Produce and coordinate renders/3D sketches, storyboards and draft visualize retail commercial ideas

Understand commercial market initiatives, strategic positioning of our FSS, SIS & other commercial spaces for our current & new target audiences

Create plans, manage & organize projects, complete tasks with Creative Director & project coordinator while productively managing team workloads

Review all 3D renders and architectural packages for The Ordinary, NIOD & DECIEM Brands to make sure all details, construction details have met project/commercial space requirements

Own & delegate the Visual Merchandising brand strategy initiatives in freestanding stores, concessions, and counters

Collaborate with Creative Director & Retail Director on budgeting and manage cost allocation for commercial projects, to understand and lead cost-saving action plans for the Brand Retail Design Experience team

Coordinate with the real estate committee & Regional Brand teams on future development plans & new market initiatives

Oversee the consistency of update of the Visual Merchandising strategy for evergreen approach for Retailers - inclusive of signage, fixtures, assortment categorization, and copy strategy

Measure in-store performance, identify performance improvements and find solutions for these improvement areas

Skills and qualifications

Passionate about building the store of the future

Experience in a similar role within either the fashion, beauty or skincare industries, ideally working with retail/wholesale partners

Experience in both visual merchandising and retail design

8+ years of people management and/or leadership experience is required

Knowledgeable in VM/store material sustainability as well as experience and an understanding of construction and construction costs
