Overview

Volunteer: Video Editor at Mentor A Promise. Location: Remote. We partner with family temporary housing sites across New York, educational institutions, and community organizations to create a strong support network for young people experiencing homelessness, helping them overcome challenges and forge their own path to success. We connect students with our mentors for in-person and online programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Social Media Editing: Cut and edit short-form vertical videos tailored for platforms like Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok, ensuring alignment with platform trends and audience engagement strategies.
• Podcast Production: Edit and produce weekly podcast episodes (video + audio), maintaining clean pacing, sharp intros/outros, and polished sound/visual quality for Apple Podcast for Creators.
• YouTube Channel Management: Handle video uploads via YouTube Studio, including crafting titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails, and optimizing for search and viewer retention.
• Content Consistency: Maintain consistent branding, audio-visual quality, and narrative tone across all video content.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the content, marketing, and education teams to align messaging and storytelling with organizational goals.
