Overview
MGMA is looking for a Social Media Lead to join our Denver / hybrid team. The Social Media Lead will oversee and elevate our social media presence across platforms, developing and executing social media strategies that drive audience expansion, brand awareness, engagement, and revenue growth. The role involves collaborating across departments to bring the MGMA voice to life online and engage with our audience in meaningful ways.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies aligned with marketing and business goals.
- Manage daily posting and content calendars across platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, X / Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube).
- Lead the creation and curation of compelling content—copy, graphics, and video—in collaboration with design and content teams.
- Analyze performance metrics, track KPIs, and deliver regular insights to optimize campaigns and inform strategy.
- Oversee community management: engage with followers, monitor conversations, and respond to comments and messages in a timely manner.
- Stay up-to-date with platform trends, algorithm changes, and industry best practices to maintain a competitive edge.
- Work closely with paid media, PR, and product teams to align messaging and campaigns.
- Ability to consistently promote, support, work, and act in a manner in support of MGMA’s mission, vision, and values.
- Other duties as required and necessary to ensure the success of the organization.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong understanding of social media principles, strategies, and tactics.
- Proven track record of growing and managing social accounts with measurable results.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills tailored for digital platforms.
- Proficiency in analytics tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Google Analytics).
- Experience with content creation tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut).
- Deep understanding of platform nuances, audience behaviors, and social media trends.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Preferred: Experience in influencer marketing, B2B, and B2C marketing.
Education
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or a related field is required.
Experience
- Two (2) years of experience in social media management, preferably in a lead or strategic role. Four (4) years or more preferred.
- Two (2) years of experience in social media content creation is preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
Additional Requirements
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
Working environment
