Overview

Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform connects tutors with students nationwide for online PSAT Writing Skills sessions. As a tutor on the platform, you’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make an impact on students’ learning journeys from home.

What We Look For In a Tutor

• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Expertise in PSAT Writing Skills and the ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
• Priority given to those with tutoring experience, teaching experience, and graduate-level education.

Responsibilities

• Tutor online 1-on-1 PSAT Writing Skills sessions via our Live Learning Platform (remote work, no commuting).
• Prepare and deliver tailored instruction; adapt lessons to individual student needs.
• Manage scheduling and invoicing; receive payments through Varsity Tutors.
• Utilize the AI-powered Tutor Copilot for real-time instructional support, lesson generation, and engagement features to save prep time and focus on teaching.

Compensation and Benefits

• Base contract rates start at $18/hour and increase for specialized subjects; pay can reach up to $40/hour with continued sessions with the same student.
• Get paid up to twice per week.
• Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like.
• Be matched with students suited to your teaching style and expertise.
• We handle logistics—you invoice for sessions, and we process payments.
