PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The Manager of Media Strategy & Planning translates a Brand’s activity brief into a holistic media and channel plan, serving as the conduit between media agency partners and in-house biddable media teams. After the activity brief and channel plan(s) are aligned, the Manager leads the process and is accountable for bringing the plan to life through tactical channel and partner allocations.

Responsibilities

Manage daily interactions with Brand and/or Brand Leadership to ensure ongoing media deliverables across plan development, implementation, execution and post-campaign phases

Lead day-to-day functions with the agency team to deliver on objectives tied to media strategy plans and investments

Enable and oversee integrated brand reporting of media performance documents (dashboard reporting) for internal and external use

Collaborate with brand and marketing teams on creative messaging to ensure media and creative are cohesive across channels

Oversee and be accountable for the brand media budget, including maintaining budgets and billings

Generate and communicate financial records, including comparing actuals to plans to enable accruals and forecasts

Manage and reconcile all account budgets per media authorizations

Develop and maintain relationships with agency personnel related to budget management

Budgeting and forecasting company revenues and internal operating expenses, and reconciling data from multiple financial databases

Interface with internal/external teams on processes and deliverables, including brand and enterprise analytics teams and 3rd party auditors

Serve as the primary POC for all media vendors

Ensure flawless execution across steps to ensure asset alignment (creative & traffic fulfillment) across media buys, including coding/tagging for measurement reporting

Represent brand interests in status meetings to prioritize deliverables and timelines

Represent MS&P in internal or external brand meetings as needed

Lead the agency relationship at the pod level

Lead competitive tracking regularly or as needed

Partner with the media analytics team to measure campaign impact

Requirements

4 Year Degree Preferred

7 years of relevant experience in marketing and/or media

Demonstrated experience in problem solving and managing multiple tasks

Required Knowledge, Skills Or Abilities

Ability to lead teams and deliver results

Excellent project management skills (proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint)

Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Ability to lead and influence others

Personal integrity, humility, teamwork, and a sense of humor

Passion for the restaurant industry and willingness to train in our restaurants

Self-starter with minimal supervision
